Crazy Friday ~ Who knows what's coming next!!

My mate Mark and I thought we were going to get rained upon earlier today, some stormy dark clouds hovered above the South end as the sun rose quickly over Benny Buckler. Look one way it looked gorgeous, look the other it looked menacing. Thankfully those clouds were blown out to sea with the gusty Westerlies...

Talking wind gusts, we thought we had lost the drone! Off we took from Maccas for a quick joy flight out over the crystal clear water but the wind rapidly took hold. It felt like I had lost control... I pushed the trigger forward, yet it went backwards. Out of the Pacific it went. I lowered it and hugged the cliffs hoping that it would get over some rocks to land, nup!! Clearly it had other ideas and further out to sea it went.. Let's just say I was cool, calm and collected at this point. Somehow the HOME button worked and the bugger flew back with ease. Why couldn't it have done this when I was flying?? Was I pressing the wrong trigger (probably!). No more flying in high wind for me.

Apparently the swell will increase overnight :-)
