Another super Saturday morning in Bronte and another large contingent of photographers lined around the pool. Lol. We can all agree Bronte pool is incredibly stunning and we love to shoot every inch of it! But I'm curious how can you possibly get a different shot to your mate if your tripods are set at the same height only 1 metre apart!?
I'm not complaining about this, in fact I find it rather funny. It really shows the differences in perspectives that photography brings. Photography doesn't necessarily have to be a creative pastime but for some it is; photography can be a way to meet new friends and / or keep old ones; photography can just be a release from the world and photography can even just be an excuse to get outdoors and go exploring.
For me it's a bit of everything stated above ~ I love getting up at the crack of dawn, heading down to place that makes me feel good on the inside and out, catching up with familiar faces and trying to create something unique. Photography has given me a purpose and I don't think I'll ever stop. Love it!
What's your reason?

Ana is off is practising walking (yep, you read that right). She's walking 40km today and I'm NOT envious in how she will feel tonight / tomorrow.
In a few weeks time her team 'The Sydney Strollers' consisting of 4 amazing chicks are walking (if it were me plodding) a whopping 60km winding their way from Manly to Bondi in the hope of restoring the precious gift of sight. They're raising money for the Fred Hollows Foundation and could definitely use your help. Here's the link to their page. As Ana puts it "donations, hugs, high fives and well wishes are all welcome!"

Back to the beach, I'm ready for another swim.
