Today's blog is a combo of an awesome morning and an incredible afternoon.
Take your pic on which you prefer... dry or wet?
After school this arvo I drove around the bend to see clean set smash through. That was all I needed to get my froth levels buzzing. I parked the car, suited up and out I went. Bronte Reef was cooking with some absolutely banging waves. After shooting for an hour or so my fingers felt like they were seizing up, it was so damn cold with the current sea temps and wind chills. I began to find it difficult to press the shutter. How do those arctic surf photographers do it?? Hands of steel.
Yay! I was back at the car ready to warm up. One problem, where on earth was my towel? OMG how did I not have one? and on the coldest of days. Argh!! I couldn't just jump in, I didn't want to ruin the car seats. The sun had dropped past the buildings above, the wintery wind huffed and the longer I stood there the cooler I got. I attempted to call mates that live close by (even this was a challenge pressing those buttons) to bring down a towel. Thankfully my bud Oz came to the rescue; a few beers I now owe. Legend~
Looking back at it I'm actually pretty stoked I didn't know my towel situation before jumping in; I wouldn't have gone in if I knew there wasn't one waiting. It was so much fun out there I would have hated to have missed it!
Now I am warm after a nice hot shower and a feed :-) Enjoy today's pics and I'll see you again tomorrow.
Cheers, Adam
