Liberty

~

A few more days have passed, will be heading home soon. Time sure does fly when you're having fun.

These past few days have been fantastic, spent with Ana's extended family. Milestone birthday parties, catch ups and group explorations of the city. There seemed liked a cousin from here a cousin from there... so many people. Just like NYC itself.. So great to meet and / or see everyone again!!

Saturday was stifling hot, but that wouldn't stop us. We boarded a cruise boat with the family from Jersey out to Lady Liberty. We passed through multiple security check points and then climbed up her pedestal (as high as our tickets would allow). To gain access to her crown we would have needed to book 3-6 months ago. Lol, as a group we would have filled thousands of rolls of film with the amount of photos taken.

Here's a random piece of trivia for you. How thick do you think the Statue of Liberty is?? 1cm, 5cm, 10cm ??? Nah she's approximately only two pennies (or say AUD 10c pieces) thick. Not thick at all.

Yesterday we had another massive walking day; but this time thankfully we had bought some comfy running shoes as our feet were killing us from those first few days. Chinatown, Little Italy, Back to the Brooklyn Bridge, up to Central Park where we rode bikes around for hours seeing the famous movie sights (think Home Alone 2, Friends etc) and then walked around (and around) Times Square in the evening. Beaut day chatting and chilling with Maria, Ryan and Christina. Together we ticked off a few more boxes.. New York Cheesecake(s) from Juniors, miniature burgers at WhiteCastle, bikes & trikes in CP.

Tonight Ana & I are off to tick a very BIG NYC event off.. Yankee Stadium in the Bronx as the Yankees host Cincinnati. Never been to baseball,  yet alone watched it.. Not really sure what to expect!? I'll let you know next time.

You searched Big Apple pulse. It ticks a melting pot rithm.
You are not e stranger anymore to NY, walking its streets, riding subways, eating pizza and wearing a pair of shoes guarantee international citizenship.
I want as many pictures as you can take.
Thanks Adam
