Bringing the heat
~
Well that storm last night was something special, around 8:30pm a shower of electricity laiden bolts came raining down upon Sydney. 1000's upon 1000's of them lighting up the night sky. I raced to South Bondi hoping to make it before the rain started.. just as I arrived (and looked to be the first photographer there) the heavens opened.. enough to be a pain in the backside - water droplets falling and forming on the front of the lens. I did my very best to stay dry and out of the way of any stray bolts. But, it wasn't happening!
Then, the sky parted and the light show headed out to sea. Making me feel way more comfortable, knowing that it was less likely of getting struck. I was able to then move around freely and take a range of shots, not just the ones from back at the car. By this time I wasn't the only photog out taking advantage of this glorious show.. media, amateurs and pros all getting in on the act. I have been wanting to take shots like this for some years now, but they've never come to frutition. So needless to say I was absolutley stoked last night!!! #buzzing
